The usual Saturday night crowd was shocked and quite frankly upset to learn that the long awaited appearance of Johnny Russell was not going to happen. What was happening was the appearance of a "crossover act"! The Midwest Country Theater specializes in the older more traditional acts so this was a break in custom caused by the untimely hospitalization of Johnny. A quick call to Nashville a few days earlier brought Dan Seals to this lovely area of Minnesota. | |
| Here Porter and Duke start transferring items from the bus which had just arrived. As you can tell, they had a welcoming committee of some avid Dan Seals fans. They were there to offer support and watch a super show unfold. |

As usual Dan, Duke and Porter put on a super show. Although the first audience enjoyed the show, they weren't as vocal as those attending the second show. A slightly younger audience was more aware of Dan's songs and totally got into the show. |
