The show was in the Burning Hills Amphitheater in Medora, North Dakota. It was scheduled to start at 4:30. The sky was clear, the sun very bright and the temperature in the high 90's.

There was an opening act, a Watford City, North Dakota teen, by the name of Jessie Veeder. While she had an incredible voice, she only performed songs she had written and we had an awful time trying to understand the lyrics. She only did five songs and then they announced Dan.

Dan, Duke and Porter took the stage about 4:55, opening with "I'd Really Love To See You Tonight". After the song, Dan introduced Duke and Porter. He then mentioned that it was Porter's birthday and that he didn't know that until someone sent back a bag of cookies to Porter. Dan went on to say that he hoped Porter was going to share.

The show was incredible as always. I have to admit, however, that I didn't pay as much attention to it as I usually do. I had seven relatives with me and I spent most of the time watching their reactions and taking pictures.

Duke had problems with his earphones and spent most of the show trying to get them to work. Later my nephew asked me what was wrong with Duke's ears since he kept tapping his right ear.

My mother was sitting in front of Porter and thoroughly enjoyed watching all the "movement" Porter puts into a show.

I thought my sister was going to split laughing when they went into the spiel about old cars prior to singing "My Old Yellow Car".

This show was the first one I've attended where all three of the guys were sweating. It was so hot, I thought we'd melt, but the guys up on stage actually were! Dan actually had it running down the face of his guitar.

The crowd went wild at the end of the show and they came back for an encore of "One Friend".
